Welcome, aspiring polyglot! As the year winds down and the time of gratitude envelopes us all again, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the hard work all of you are putting in daily to change your life. Learning a second language, especially solo, is far from easy. Making the decision to take on something challenging will always be beneficial in the mid to long term. Every new language you add to your repertoire is one that can be used to open doors you can only imagine.
With that, I wanted to bring up some other opportunities for you as well as provide some freebies for the dedicated language learners who have been here for any amount of the past 200 (!!!!) posts since the inception of this site less than two years ago. You’ll be able to find the free downloads at the end, so make sure to read to the bottom, definitely don’t skip all of this and go straight to the PDF downloads.
You didn’t skip it, right?
For those of you who have and continue to support me, I am eternally grateful. Over the last two years there have been 200 articles published on this website and some of you have been here for well over half of that. It has been an absolute privilege to hear about and sometimes even participate in the language acquisition of many of you. There is much more to come and our language learning PDF repertoire is growing rapidly for paid subs.
If you are new here, 200 articles may seem like a lot to work through, but I did try to make it all enjoyable to read. I would recommend using the search feature in Substack to look for any specific questions you have as there is a high chance I have answered it already. However, if you can’t find an answer you are looking for, I encourage you to comment and let me know so I can take some time to think and answer it for you. Of course, there is an easier way than reading through 200k words to catch up.
Earlier this year I compiled the 3 key components that make up the Second Language Strategies approach. All of the things that I use when I work with my students one on one to bring them from zero to conversational in 90 days. And I published it as a book! If you want to get all of the most important information from the first year and a half’s worth of articles or just support me in general, you can find it here:
This is where things get a little funky. As a thank you and a Black Friday deal, I’ll be offering a myriad of ways to secure access to our Language PDF vault.

The Spanish Patterns Guide V2 will be going up in December and if you have seen the first you know there is something exciting brewing. Now, if you haven’t seen the first, let’s talk freebies.
Freebies
I’ve made a few of the documents from the PDF vault free already, but I’ll bring them here just for you now. If you have any questions or suggestions for them or something else you’d like to see made particularly, but not exclusively, if you are a premium subscriber. Now for your downloading pleasure, our FREE learning language PDFs. Share these with your friends who are learning languages, they’re free and you should be indoctrinating your friends into bilingualism always.
Conclusion
I am well aware that there are near endless resources to learn a new language online nowadays. I am honored that you have chosen to make this newsletter/website part of your language learning routine. As we wind down this year, the future looks bright and there will be countless people joining the bilingual and polyglot ranks in 2025. I hope you, aspiring polyglot, will be amongst them.
In the meantime, if there is anything I can do to facilitate that process, don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments or via email. I have a good post scheduled for Thanksgiving that you can read pre comatose after eating. Learning a new language is going to be difficult, like wearing tight clothes on Thanksgiving, but you can do difficult things and become great. So go out and do difficult things and be great. I am rooting for you.
