That's interesting. I didn't know this was a phenomenon because I've always had lots of output practice. But I've seen this in other people, especially younger students.

I think that's part of why they like me teaching the older students. It's not just about exposure to native English, it's that the students HAVE to speak English! Not forever, but they've been studying English 10x as long as I've been studying Russian.

That's how we are able to move so fast. The inverse problem is far easier to fix. If you can speak, but not understand full speed native speakers, that can be solved in a month.
