Welcome, aspiring polyglot! The ability to recognize patterns is something that has been emphasized for quite some time around here. Much of what has been discussed, however, has been surface level. While the plan is to eventually expand this idea into as many languages as possible, today the Spanish learners get a little special treatment. If you are interested in learning to view your language through the patterns it has to offer, comment the language you are learning below and I will do my best to bring it for you! Remember, it is all connected.

You are far more likely to remember things when you not only read them, but speak them aloud and write them down.
More importantly, though, you need to have objectives, or goals, in mind. Here are a few:
Master present tense conjugation
Understand where to look for and how to identify patterns
Begin speaking in the future tense without learning a new form of conjugation
Understand basic past tense conjugation through the use of descriptive words
Understand all of the loaned and shared words that will cross over from English
It is impossible to aim at a target you do not have. You must define your goals and set out in a decided direction. Whether the day calls for extra grammar work or some time with a thesaurus, if you know what you are doing and why then you will make progress. That said, it is probably helpful to have some guidelines and ideas of what you can look for with regards to potential patterns.
