Welcome, aspiring polyglot! A bit of housekeeping: Some of you may have noticed a lack of articles sent out this week. Do not fear, we will return to the regular scheduling in the coming week. Lots of big things happening! Make sure you are subscribed so you never miss an update.
As part of the 3 Months to Conversational course that will begin next month, we will be translating different Spanish songs directly and correctly to English. The goal of this is two fold, first to help people understand the things that they are potentially singing along with and second to give people an opportunity to think artistically in their new language rather than attempting to translate everything directly.
This is the completed translation for you to compare and contrast your attempt with and ask questions for some clarification if necessary. As mentioned above, we will be working through Spanish songs primarily for the first few months, but eventually we will branch out. If you are interested in a live discussion and curated lessons for Spanish, fill out this form and let’s talk.
Here is the song with translations! If you got a different answer, let me know in the comments. I’d love to look through and see how melodic we can make these translations. As will be the norm moving forward, I am only providing translation for one chorus so as not to take up too much space with things that have already been covered. Enjoy!
